At Pro Team Carpet Cleaning, we have a 3 room minimum policy, which means our base service starts at $147, covering up to three standard sized rooms. While you’re not required to have three rooms cleaned, this minimum charge applies to all service appointments to cover the cost of travel, equipment setup and professional labor. So whether you need just one room or a hallway cleaned, the starting price remains the same. Many of our customers take advantage of this by adding additional spaces—like stairs, hallways or area rugs—to get the most value from their service. It’s our way of ensuring high quality results while keeping our pricing fair and efficient.

How our steam carpet cleaning process works:

1. Inspection and Preparation

Before starting the cleaning process, the technician conducts a thorough inspection of the carpet to identify any specific areas that need extra attention, such as stains or high-traffic zones. Furniture is moved if necessary, and the carpet is prepared for cleaning.

2. Pre-Treatment

A pre-treatment solution is applied to the carpet to loosen dirt, oils, and stains. This solution is often a combination of detergents and conditioning agents designed to break down the grime embedded in the carpet fibers.

3. Agitation

In some cases, the pre-treatment solution is gently agitated using a brush or a machine to further loosen the dirt and ensure the solution penetrates deep into the fibers.

4. Steam Cleaning (Hot Water Extraction)

Our high powered truck mounted cleaning machine heats water to a high temperature of around 230 degrees and injects it into the carpet along with a cleaning solution. The mixture of hot water and cleaning solution penetrates the carpet fibers, dissolving dirt and contaminants.

5. Extraction

Immediately after the hot water and cleaning solution are injected into the carpet, a high powered vacuum extracts the water along with the dissolved dirt and debris. This extraction process is crucial as it removes the bulk of the moisture and ensures the carpet is not left overly wet.

6. Stain Treatment

If any stubborn stains remain, the technician will treat them with specialized stain removal products and techniques. This step may involve additional spot cleaning or using specific solutions tailored to the type of stain.

7. Grooming

The carpet fibers are groomed with a brush or rake to help them stand up and restore their original texture. This step also aids in the drying process by allowing air to circulate more freely around the fibers.

8. Drying

Proper drying is essential. While the extraction process removes most of the moisture, the carpet will still be slightly damp. High velocity fans or air movers may be used to speed up the drying process.

9. Final Inspection

Once the carpet is dry, the technician will conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas have been cleaned to the highest standard. Any remaining issues are addressed, and furniture is moved back into place if it was relocated.
